The world’s largest fun run is back on Sunday August 11, and you can secure your place by signing up to fundraise for the Heart Research Institute (HRI).
The City2Surf is more than just a 14km event from Sydney’s CBD to iconic Bondi beach, it’s a great opportunity to give back and support your favourite organisation.
Since 2008, when the fundraising tally was first recorded, participants have raised an incredible $55 million.
Whether you run, jog or walk, the race from the city to the sea should be on everyone’s to do list – at least once!
So, why not grab your exercise gear or dust off your favourite dress-up and get together with friends to share in the fun.
Several staff members from HRI, including Maddalena Rossi from the Development and Philanthropy team, will be lacing up their sneakers for the iconic event.
“I am excited to take part in this year’s City2Surf and revel in the energy and atmosphere,” she said. “Being able to raise money for HRI at the same time is a very special bonus!
“I hope to connect with some of our generous supporters and inspire them to contribute to a very worthy cause. I'll also be running with my nine-year-old son for the first time.”
